Our rules for sourcing, AI assistance, sponsorship and corrections.

Independence

Casinofinch is independently operated by the editorial team behind it. Editorial decisions — what we cover and how — are made by the newsroom alone. Advertisers and sponsors cannot buy coverage, approve articles or change reporting.

Sources

Our reporting is built on sources anyone can check — regulatory notices, laws and court documents, company announcements and filings, official statistics and research. The sources behind each story are listed at its end.

When sources disagree or a claim cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than choosing the more dramatic version.

AI assistance and automated checks

We use AI assistance to research and draft our reporting from cited public sources. Automated checks then compare every draft with its sources before it is published, so that each figure, date, name and quotation can be traced back.

  • Every factual statement must be supported by a cited source; unsupported claims are removed.
  • Figures, dates, names and quotations are compared with the sources automatically.
  • Quotations are only used when they appear in a cited source, and are attributed to it.
  • Articles are not credited to invented people: the byline is always the newsroom.

Automated checks have limits. They test a draft against its sources; they cannot make an inaccurate source accurate. Read our sources critically, and tell us when we get something wrong.

Corrections and updates

If you find an error, e-mail contact@casinofinch.com with the article and the problem. We review every report; when a correction is needed we fix the article and show an “Updated” date and time on it.

Sponsored content

We accept paid guest posts. They are always labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the article and in listings, their commercial links carry rel="sponsored", and they are reviewed against the same rules on accuracy, legality and gambling promotion as everything else. Details: Write for us.

Gambling and minors

Our coverage is not an invitation to gamble and is never aimed at minors. Help for people affected by gambling is listed on our responsible gambling page.
